A fat transfer is a simple in-office procedure in which your own fat cells are used as a filler to help correct deep facial lines, furrows or creases or to help enhance the lips, chin, or cheeks.
Using local anesthetic, some of your own fatty tissue is removed through a small syringe and placed into the treatment area immediately or may be saved for later use. Some swelling and bruising is normal and may be present for three to five days. Ice packs will reduce swelling and makeup may be used to camouflage bruising.
