A breast lift with augmentation is an increasingly popular option for patients in Reading, particularly with post-pregnancy moms who find that their breasts have lost volume and started to sag after they are finished breastfeeding. This procedure can also be an excellent option for restoring breast shape and fullness after weight loss to enhance your new proportions. Today, you have a wide variety of breast implant options to help you achieve the breast contour you are looking for, including saline, silicone, and silicone gel “gummy” implants.

“If I could give 10 stars I would! I wanted a lift and augmentation for years. Dr. Reedy is a wonderful person and a doctor who is an artist! I had my surgery done 3 weeks ago and my scars are barely noticeable. I live in Shavertown, PA and the 1 hour and 45 minute drive was so worth it! My daughter is a nurse and sees patients after surgery; when she saw his work 2 days after surgery, she was blown away and is now going to have her own done! You want amazing results and to feel like family, then this is the place!

Why might you need a breast lift too?

Implants can restore lost breast volume, but they cannot defy gravity. If you have even a moderate amount of sagging, adding an implant alone is unlikely to produce an aesthetically pleasing outcome. A breast lift can correct sagging and raise the nipple. Combining the two procedures can ensure that any breast size increase looks natural with your proportions and aesthetically pleasing in and out of clothing.

I have received so many compliments on my ‘new’ body. I feel so confident! This is the first time that I’m looking forward to bathing suit season!

The only way to know for sure which procedure is best for you is to consult with a qualified plastic surgeon. Until then, you can get an idea of whether or not you might need a breast lift by observing where your nipple is positioned in relation to the crease underneath your breast (the inframammary fold). If your nipples appear to sit below that crease or point downward, this is also a good indicator that a breast lift is needed.

What is involved in breast lift with augmentation surgery?

During the procedure, your surgeon will remove excess skin from the bottom portion of the breast, raise the nipple and areola, and reshape your natural breast tissue. Doing so allows him to place the implant in the correct position, with the nipple/areola centered and facing forward and the appropriate amount of fullness in both the upper and lower portions of the breast. The result is a lifted, firm, and full breast that looks better overall.

A breast lift with augmentation typically requires similar incisions to breast lift surgery. However, the resulting scars will fade during the months after surgery and are easily hidden by clothing, even bikini tops. Our surgeons take care to use techniques that result in the least amount of scarring possible. The exact technique used depends on your breast size, shape, and amount of sagging prior to surgery.
